Vardan fell in love with wood.

It started in his early twenties, in a small garage with a borrowed sander, a stack of scrap lumber, and an unreasonable amount of curiosity. What began as a weekend project — a wonky coffee table for a friend — quickly turned into an obsession with joinery, grain patterns, and making something with his own two hands that would last longer than a trend.

Over the years, Vardan honed his skills the old-fashioned way: by doing the work. Late nights sketching designs, long hours in the shop, countless moments of redoing a cut because “good enough” was no longer good enough. He studied traditional techniques and modern innovations with equal respect, always chasing the quiet satisfaction of a cabinet door that closes like a whisper.

Today, A&M Design is the result of that passion — fueled by craftsmanship, shaped by experience, and grounded in the belief that every home deserves beauty built to last.

Vardan still personally oversees every project, because to him, this isn’t just work. It’s art with a function. And he wouldn't have it any other way.
